App Store Preview Loops: What AI Video Can and Cannot Do in 30 Seconds
A shot list that passes review: in-app screen capture, UI truthfulness, and where generative b-roll is safe for lifestyle framing.
Store pages punish misleading UI. The hero should be a screen recording or a motion-build that mirrors the actual flow. Generative video shines as atmosphere: commute context, hand-holding a phone, desk scenes with tasteful product-sized bezels — not faked feature demos.
A safe 30s arc
- Hook: single pain sentence on screen (copy-approved)
- 8–10s: real in-app path at readable speed with tap highlights
- 10s: UGC-style reaction (human or b-roll) matching brand tone
- End: logo + one-line outcome
